Every animal is as different and unique as the story behind the hunt. My goal is to not simply give you back a mount of your animal, but an accurate representation of the trophy you worked so hard to harvest. Your mount will stand out among the rest and be a lasting reminder of the experience you will never forget.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SKINNING YOUR DEER FOR A SHOULDER MOUNT
SKINNING / CAPING
Proper field care and handling of your animal is important. Below are some helpful videos but feel free to call or text if you have any questions. If you or your deer processor skin your deer, place the head in a heavy trash bag (or two), tie a knot and place in freezer as soon as possible. We will cape the face and cut the antlers off for you. If however, you have to cape your own deer because of CWD restrictions or crossing state lines, see the second video below. This can be a little tricky and I will be glad to walk you through the process, call or text 601-455-0927.
For life size animals such as bobcats and fox, simply put them whole in a heavy trash bag and tie a knot in it. Place it in the freezer right away. These animals can begin to have hair slippage within a very short amount of time if not frozen immediately.
